Marsabit: Man burns 11-year-old boy's hands for stealing food

An 11-year-old boy from Marsabit county has been left nursing third degree injuries on his hands after a neighbour dipped them into boiling water for hours.
The boy who was grazing their livestock felt hungry and decided to go to their neighbour's house and prepared some food to eat before the owner found him in his home.
In a report by NTV, Lentioni Ndemau found the boy eating in his house and demanded to know why he had stolen his food.
As punishment to the young man, the neighbour from hell tied the boy on a tree with his head and hands facing downwards before he dipped his hands in boiling water for hours.
The boy's parents who had assumed he was lost found him the next day still hanging from the tree and untied him before they rushed him to hospital.
The doctors at the hospital said the boy's hands will have to be amputated for higher chances of survival as the burns were so intense to be treated successfully.
The neighbour was arrested and later released from police custody under unclear circumstances. The parents are now appealing to the public in their quest for justice to be served.
