Tottenham vs Dortmund ended in a 3-0 scoreline in favour of the Premier League side as all three goals were scored in the second half.
The first half experienced a goal-drought as the London club created the better chances against their German counterparts.
Two minutes after the restart, Heung-Min Son broke the deadlock after a beautiful pin-point cross from Jan Vertonghen was side-footed home to make it 1-0 to Spurs.
It was the Korean's 11th goal in 12 matches in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
Vertonghen added a goal to his assist with a typical striker's finish from Christian Eriksen's cross to make 2-0 in the 83rd minute.
Then in the 86th minute substitute Frenando Llorente scored the last goal of the match as he heads in at the near post from Eriksen's corner to make it 3-0.
Spurs take a three-goal advantage to the Signa Iguna Park for the second leg as the London club are looking good to make it through into the last eight.
